Greetings,
It's good to be back writing you with some updates on our continued efforts in bringing clean water to the Hopi and Navajo Nations. Sorry for not being able to update you in the last couple of reports due personal and health issues that needed to be addressed. Now that is all taken care of. I am now able to give you this months report.
After 2 years of covid-19, the project had slowed down on the installations of the countertop filters and the reverse osmosis systems only to be cautious of spreading the virus among the communitites. Now that we see that covid restrictions lessen nationwide, the Hopi Nation continues to follow covid mandates with facemasks, hand sanitizers and proof of vaccinations. Now with the Monkeypox Virus plaging the world and the nation, we continue to move forward with our project.
Now with the two water projects occurring on Hopi, which includes our filter project and the Hopi Tribes (H.A.M.P. Project). They both continue to move forward with great determination on completing each project. Lately the Hopi Arsenic Mitiagation Project (H.A.M.P.), is running a bit behind of schedule due to weather related issues and some project changes. The For Love of Water Project (F.L.O.W.) or also known as the Noarsenic4hopi Project from the non-profit organization The Black Mesa Trust in Kykotsmovi, AZ.
The Noarsenic4hopi Project continues moving forward with the First Mesa Elementary School and Housing installations project which consists of 21 homes and 1 elementary school in which houses grades k through 6.
