Clean Water for Hopi Virtual Concert coming up!

Thanks so much to all of you who have supported our efforts to provide clean fresh drinking water to the Hopi and Navajo Reservations! As a result of your support,we sent 16 more custom-made Reverse Osmosis and 9 uranium filters this week.

So far we have 400 water units from Clean Water Foundation on the ground. Our goal is to go into 20,000 homes and we still have a lot of more work to do so thank you for sharing this message!.

Martha Childress and Randy Truby, a renowned expert on Reverse Osmosis visited Hopiland late last year and gave us his thumbs up for the incredible difference this is making for native families.Ernest Taho, who has been overseeing installation also designed Gravity Feeding water units and Hand Washing Stations to meet the needs of families with no running water!

Here are some words from Ernest Taho, from the field

"Since September of last year, we have continued our work efforts in giving the Hopi communities clean water. With the New Year and a new variant, it has been a task to stay covid free seeing how you do not know where people have been and who they have been in contact with as covid numbers have increased. We continue to use PPE and CDC guidelines when out in the field. The thank you, you get from the families supersedes all fears of covid for me at least. I humbly continue to say thank you for your generosity in giving to this project. On a side note, the 2008 Hopi Arsenic Mitigation Project has received some funding to start working on bringing water to the First and Second Mesa areas. The first waterline pipes were received in late March and the official work wasn't until Mid-September."
