Project Report | Dec 1, 2020
A glance of prior work of the project.

By Ernest Taho | Black Mesa Trust Liaison Water Filter Project

Greeting All,

We would like to get you up to speed with this project. The Black Mesa Trust #NOARSENIC4HOPI PROJECT started in the later months of 2017 to address the water issue that plague the Hopi's after the 2001 deceision to drop the EPA standards for Arsenic which then made Hopi incomplience with the regulations. The majoried of the problem which still exisits years later is funding the H.A.M.P. Project (Hopi Arsenic Mitagation Project). A lot of the project started out with outreach with doing presentation outside of the Hopi Reservation to gain awareness to our problem. In the process Black Mesa Trust was able to draw more help from other nonprofit organizations up till today.
