Empower India Rural Girl Children with Education

Shyaamprasadh, a Ph.D. in Finance from
Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai,
builds scalable machine-learning and
analytics systems. Prasadh recently
conducted a "Get Mentored" session for
11th and 12th students of Isha Vidhya.

The session proved to be a boon for
students aiming for a career in software
development and data analysis. Prasadh
spoke about coding being a better and
more lucrative career option than
computer programming, which is on the
wane. He also updated the students about
institutions, scholarships, and the
scope of employment in data analysis.

Janaki, a grade 10 student of Isha Vidhya
Tuticorin school, shared that the session
was very informative and motivating. It
has given her the confidence to make
decisions about her academic career.

To raise complete education sponsorships
for 30 Isha Vidhya students, Parthasarathy
and Jayaraman has started a Cycle Trip for
1950 kms, starting from Chennai on
December 24^th!

This trip has been planned for 21 days
covering a variety of landscapes, visiting
the 10 Isha Vidhya schools! On their 14^th
day of the trip, they have covered 1470
kms visiting 9 Isha Vidhya schools!

Currently they are in the final stage of
their trip. They say that in each school,
they were warmly welcomed with
heart-felt greetings. They also share that
the discussions that they had with the
teachers in each school were moments of
happiness.

They are hoping to raise INR 1,000,000
(around US$13,700) for the sponsorship
of the complete education fees for 30
students. Let us wish them all the best
