Thank you for your support of our Safe, Energy Efficient Cookstoves program in Guatemala!
These stoves save lives of everyone in the home. HRI provides safe cookstoves to families located in three regions of Guatemala, including the Department of Santa Rosa, Department of Quetzaltenango, and Department of Guatemala.
These families are all the poorest of the poor. Most have dirt floors, sheetrock walls, and bedsheets for doors in their homes.
They also have no proper ventilation system. So when they cook on open fires, the smoke fills their home, and also their lungs, causing severe respiratory problems. Children are also easily burned as they fall into "homemade kitchens".
We've already provided more than 35 stoves this year, thanks to our donors!
Thank you for partnering with HRI to help improve the health and safety of children and elderly especially by providing safe cookstoves complete with ventilation systems.
