Finally - water in abundance every day - rain or shine! One of the biggest dreams of Live and Learn in Kenya International has come true. A German organization donated the funds for the drilling and construction of an 85 meter (279 feet) deep well - and a group of donors paid for the solar pump. We now have a well nearly completed at the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center in Nakuru, Kenya that will quench the thirst of all of our children and youths - clean hands before meals - and provide water for meals as well. We will also be able to water the plants when there is no rain in order to ensure healthy crops. Neighbors will be able to come and purchase buckets of water at a low price.
WATER IS LIFE and the children and youths will be able to experience this blessing in a way that has not been possible until now.
So now they will be able to plant more beans, greens, and maize. This is how life is supposed to be - not taken for granted - but respected for the gift that it is. That is a major lesson in life!
Asante sana - thank you so much!
