YouMeWe Language in the cloud-Philippines

Dear Donor,

Thank you for your continued support. Your support has made it possible for us to equip the Nazareth Home and Thanan Ng in Manila with computers. We have also provided laptops to the ALS project in Boracay as well as funding the monthly Wifi costs.

We are teaching weekly at the homes weekly Digital Citizenship lessons by Common Sense Media. Volunteers from the USA, Japan, and the Philippines have teamed up to make this happen.

We are in talks with a local foundation to create a project called IT on Wheels where we look to fit out a bus with monitors, a keyboard, stools, and a large screen monitor to drive out into the province to teach coding and Digital Citizenship principles.

We are also collaborating with our team on the ground who are teaching Filipina nurses to pass the Japanese Nurse Examination as we recruit Ambassadors in Japan who have aged out of the orphanages to be Japanese language conversationalists.

All of these efforts are to help YouMeWe in our efforts to be a Social Impact Organization. With more people over the age of 65 per capita in the world, all the more reason we should be looking for more nurses globally. The current demand is close to 1,000,000.

This is in addition to the fact that there are many multicultural children living in the orphanages and by holding international sessions, they are able to realize they are double the culture and double the person.

These efforts are leading YouMeWe and its Empower Village which is focused on recruitment services to create a sustainable income flow for the NPO to continue its work.

Our work in the Philippines if more focused on the Social Impact purpose of YouMeWe. Japan has more people over the age of 65 per capita in the world and less under the age of 15. Hence the demand for nurses in Japan is close to 1,000,000. 

We feel there are great opportunities for South East Asian Youth, specifically Filipino children and nurses who are looking for a future in Japan.

We have partnered with ALS in Boracay who is teaching children who were taken out of school during the pandemic to help their families economically. We also are connected to a local group educating nurses to be able to pass the Japanese exam and enable to help them come to Japan to be employed.

Another aspect of our connection with the Philippines is the fact that many children in orphanages in Japan are multicultural and have Filipino parent(s). We want the kids in the homes to connect with their other culture and see themselves as double as opposed to "Half Japanese".

The nurses and students in the Philippines need to have Japanese language conversation practice BEFORE coming to Japan. This is an area where the kids we work with could get certified and teach the language and utilize the NightZooKeeper software.

We are also looking to build a prototype of IT on Wheels, please see the YouTube link about the bus we are looking to build and keep in Manila but roll out to the provinces to teach coding and language to children in the provinces.
