Project Report: Food Packages Distribution for 2024 Monsoon Flood Affectees

Overview:
On October 18, 2024, Alkhidmat Foundation successfully distributed essential food packages among 100 flood-affected families in Nasirabad Village, Balochistan. The recent monsoon floods have severely impacted the community, leaving many families in need of immediate assistance. Our food distribution aimed to provide vital support and alleviate the suffering of those affected.
Each food package contained the following items:
- Flour – 20 kg
- Rice – 5 kg
- Cooking oil – 5 liters
- Sugar – 3 kg
- Lentils – 3 kg
- Tea – 500 grams
- Salt – 1 kg
- Basic spices for cooking
- Biscuits and dry food items for children
These essential supplies were selected to meet the immediate nutritional needs of the affected families for at least 2-3 weeks.

Beneficiary Selection:
The selection of the 100 beneficiary families was carried out in collaboration with local community leaders and volunteers, who helped identify the most affected and vulnerable households. Priority was given to families with the elderly, children, and individuals with disabilities, as well as those whose homes and livelihoods were severely impacted by the floodwaters.
