We are happy to share the happenings of our organisation over the past few months 

June 2023

Students returned from summer break and shared their experiences of taking charge of housework and other errands at home. This activity helped students to develop their life skills and to appreciate the hard work that their parents do on a daily basis.

July - August 2023

The focus of these two months was on reinforcing concepts taught in the past year. This was done through a variety of activities, such as revision exercises, practice problems, and group projects. This helped students to solidify their understanding of key concepts and to prepare for more challenging work in the coming months.

In August, the RASA centre celebrated Independence Day with a variety of activities, including a flag hoisting ceremony, cultural performances, and sporting events. Parents were invited to attend the celebrations and to enjoy watching their children perform.

September 2023

In September, the RASA centre hosted two stalls where products made by differently abled adults were sold. This was a great opportunity for students to support their work.

We also expanded our outreach programme to other centres  Chennaj and  Pondicherry to offer our services of self awareness and education through Indian theatre 

On September 27th, RASA centre entered its 35th year. To celebrate this occasion, students and teachers performed an integrated welcome dance. This was a beautiful and moving performance that showcased the diversity and talent of the school community.

Overall, this was a very productive and successful academic quarter. Students made good progress in their studies and participated in a variety of enriching activities. The RASA centre is committed to providing students with a holistic education that prepares them for success in all areas of their lives.

Introduction: This project report covers the activities and events that took place from the month of March 2023 to June 2023. It includes an experiential trip to Bengaluru, yearly assessments in April, a break in May, and the beginning of a new academic year in June.

March: In the month of March 2023, the students embarked on an exciting experiential trip to Bengaluru. One of the highlights of the trip was a Safari ride at the Benargatta National Park, where the students had the opportunity to observe and learn about various wildlife species. Additionally, the students visited the Ramana Maharshi Shrine, where they showcased their talents in music and dance, soaking in the divine atmosphere. This trip also provided the students with the chance to experience traveling independently and managing their daily requirements with the support of their teachers. Although the return journey faced a delay, departing at 3 AM, the students remained enthusiastic and supported each other throughout the journey.

April: In Apri 2023, the focus shifted to yearly assessments. The students demonstrated excellent performance in their assessments, showcasing their academic progress and dedication to their studies. The assessments provided an opportunity for the students to reflect on their learning and set new goals for themselves.

May: During the month of May 2023, the students enjoyed a well-deserved break. They had the opportunity to relax at home or visit their hometowns. Many students also spent quality time assisting their parents or caregivers with daily chores, fostering a sense of responsibility and family bonding.

June: In June 2023, the students returned to the classroom with renewed energy and enthusiasm to start a new academic year. The month began by setting new goals, creating a more challenging and engaging curriculum for the students. All aspects of life skills were imparted, incorporating different tools of Indian theatre to enhance their learning experience. World Autism Day was celebrated wth the latents of RASA"s students being showcased on our Web Channel. The livelihood division also made productive use of their three-week break and came back with more orders in hand, indicating growth and progress.

Conclusion: The past three months have been filled with diverse activities, outings, and assessments that have contributed to the holistic development of the students. The experiential trip to Bengaluru provided an opportunity for learning outside the classroom, while the yearly assessments in April demonstrated the students' academic excellence. The break in May allowed for relaxation and participation in household responsibilities, fostering a sense of personal growth. Finally, the students returned to the classroom in June with increased energy and enthusiasm, setting new goals and engaging in challenging activities. Looking ahead, we anticipate more events, outings, and activities that will continue to enhance the students' learning experiences in the upcoming months.
