The parties to the conflict in Yemen were able to reach a humanitarian truce for a period of two months, starting from the date of April 1 and ending on June 30, 2022. This truce will help in the relatively improvement of the humanitarian situation and the cessation of displacement. This will lead to a smooth flow of humanitarian aid, which leads to a slight improvement in families. Vulnerable affected by war, especially in war-affected areas.
During the truce period, Sand was able, with the support of its partners and the donations of benefactors, to reach a number of 500 vulnerable families with a total of 3,500 individuals, including (1,306 men, 1,285 women, 458 children, 451 girls) by providing 500 food baskets that were distributed in Taiz Governorate, the most affected areas (critical).
Our respectful and merciful friends, I hereby confirm that your donations represent a great incentive for us to continue our humanitarian works and provide more urgent relief assistance, especially to vulnerable families, children and women in areas of armed conflict in Yemen. We thank you for your high sense of responsibility and conscience that you hold in your hearts and minds.
