Newsflash: Dr. Yacoobi is one of BBC 100 Women 2017!
Fortunately, AIL has not had to draw on its emergency aid supplies in the last 3 months. This is especially good as the winter is approaching and Afghanistan often has harsh weather to contend with in winter. AIL is preparing resources so they are ready to deal with an emergency. The food aid can make all the difference to a poor family trying to make it through the winter. Typically AIL is able to hand out rice, oil and beans.
One recipient said, “The help we received from AIL made a great difference to us. We were able to make food for our children while we worked to get our belongings and home put back together and my husband could find work.”.
Thank you for your support.
