Every child deserves the opportunity to build a bright future, and education is a crucial pathway to expanding those opportunities. Recent research highlights a stark reality: only around 26% of youth in foster care who complete high school go on to attend college, and a mere 3% manage to graduate from college. The Comfort Cases community is dedicated to altering these troubling statistics.
Through our scholarship program, we're determined to bolster the journey of young people as they navigate the complexities of college or trade school exploration, application, and growth.
Since 2015, Comfort Cases has been awarding scholarships to aid youth in foster care pursuing higher education or vocational training. For the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year, our supporters are rallying behind the Comfort Cases Scholarship Program, offering financial support to graduating high school seniors or current college students entering accredited undergraduate programs or trade schools in the fall of 2024. Education acts as a gateway to brighter prospects, and we believe every child should have the opportunity to seize a promising future.
A new aspect to the Scholarship Program: In addition to monetary support, Hope Scholarship winners will also receive a year of Hope Boxes, specially curated to bring comfort and encouragement, as well as the opportunity to join our Pathways Program for invaluable mentorship.
