As part of our Health Education project, we partnered with the Community Based Health Planning Services in Shai-Osudoku to support our health education and support activities under our She Shines project. The She Shines project is an Impact Youth project that uses basketball as a vehicle to provide adolescents and youth especially girls with health education and support, quality education, and vocational and entrepreneurial training. Our project will be focused on the village of Ayenya which is a small farming and youthful community under the Ayikuma Doryumu Sub District. The village has a population of 653 and suffers from adverse poverty which has had a great impact on health care delivery, especially on adolescents and youth. This is the reason for us beginning our project at Ayenya. The program will include
The health program under the She Shines project is been led and managed by the Principal Community Health Nurse Gracelove Adjeson. Gracelove has over 10yrs experience and has been working within the Ayenya community for over 8years. She has been a great health pillar in the community over the years and we are excited to partner with her and join initiatives towards empowering and supporting children and youth in the community.
