By Daniel Mercier | Project Leader / Teacher
After having a large number of lessons over the summer we moved to having weekly lessons on the weekend. We start with half an hour of night zookeeper and then follow it up with an hour of programming. We use the online night zookeeper to teach the kids reading, writing, and math. It helps bolster the kids' existing educational opportunities. Then the big event of the lesson is our programming lesson. We use a project-based approach to teach the kids how to program, develop, and make their games. It is a great opportunity for the kids to develop their creative and technology skills. The kids have made a variety of video games including soccer games, bowling games, jumping games, and spaceship games.
