The Afghan Institute of Learninig thrives for women and young girls to push on with their education, as troubling obstacles, such as the new restrictions that the newly formed government in Afghanistan has implemented that girls in grade seven through University are no longer allowed in schools, which has put a huge setback on AIL.
Fright not, as AIL has learned to adapt and overcome this obstacle by using open seminars and women workshops in Herat, Kabul, and various small villages and cities, which is monitored by our well-trained AIL staff members that hold these workshops. The course has been well informed to almost everyone in the country as hundreds of applicants come from small villages or from the city to participate. In the photograph shown, more than 100 girls came to learn how to sew and learn knitting.
The workshops and seminars vary, as different topics and skillsets are taught to the participants such as, Journalism, Media Literacy, Calculus, Literature, sewing ( as dipicted in the photograph), and topics of the evolution of technology. These courses are taught by AIL staff, and prominent young professors and teachers from University and Highschool. They have been so popular in recent months as hundreds are begging to participate.
Thank you for your interest in helping women and the younger generation of Afghanistan.
