Welcome,
It’s good to be with you all in this New Year of 2023 also known as the Lunar Year of the Rabbit. Which so happens to be my wuuyah (Clan Rabbit/Tobacco). Well since our last report in September of 2022. Our efforts have continued with the installations and with the fundraising events from the lead Non-profit groups, the Clean Water Foundation of Washington and the Airline Ambassadors International during the months of October and November. A Fundraiser with Music and Auction was held at the Talk of the Town Art Gallery October 21st and November 18th. Another event was held at the Volterra Italian Restaurant on November 20th. From these fundraising events, the Clean Water Foundation was able to send 17 water filtration units along with some replacement filters to Hopi in the first part of December and will also be sending 18 more units from the Airline Ambassadors International GlobalGiving website donations.
During this time, the month of November. I took a little time out to start preparing for the upcoming month of December, which is the month Hopis’ call Kyaamuya, the respectful moon, better known as the month of resting. The month Mother Earth rejuvenates herself. It is the time Hopis’ rest and tell the stories to the young. I also took the time to do some awareness work in preparing for the opening of the "Fire and Water Exhibit” at the Tempe Center of the Arts in Tempe, AZ. In which one of the exhibits displayed some work that an artist by the name of Kathleen Velo and I did about the water in Hopi. Kathleen, who does photography without a camera using only specialized paper, a metal plate, and a flash source to uncover beautiful images of water. Now that the Fire and Water Exhibit has ended. Kathleen Velo has blessed me with her beautiful artwork by donating these images to me for more work to be done.
Now that our work continues moving forward. Our upcoming events are as follows, the Clean Water Foundation is planning a United Nation World Water Day (March 22) Fundraiser which will include a fashion show, music performances and an auction to be held on March 31, 2023 at the Kirkland Art Center in Kirkland, WA.
I am currently working on putting together a presentation to be held in Hopi later in the year with a couple of our current organizations the Island Earth Water & Distribution and Digital Media Empire, who will be presenting a Hydroponics system to be used to help with creating a sustainable food source operation. I have also been ask to do a webinar presentation for the Crow Canyon Agicultural Center in Cortez, Co.later in the year. Thank you for your support on getting clean water for the people.
