KOSHISH rescued five women surviving with gender based violence from the street and locked up conditions. Of the total, two women were rescued from the street with their babies. One woman was rescued from the locked up condition. Remaining two were rescued through the referral from the government agencies. All rescued beneficiaries were provided the specialized and holistic care including psychiatric treatment, psycho social counseling, nursing care, medication as well as food and accommodation. The women were also involved in various recreational and therapeutic activities as a way of therapy as well as relaxation. Following recovery, upon the consultation of the psychiatrist, four women were reintegrated back to their family. Family counseling were also carried out as per need. The reintegrated women are in the touch of KOSHISH through the follow-ups.
