By Cesario V. Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings for the Holiday Season and thank you for your generous support to our project providing assistance to farmers affected by Typhoon Mangkhut. The hardest hit area is the town of Baggao in Cagayan Province and farmers in the area are mostly corn and vegetable farmers. Corn is planted in hillsides and during the typhoon their crops were destroyed leaving them with very little source of income. The national nd local governments is providing assitance but the severeity of the disaster makes the support inadequate. After our initial visit to the area, we decided to focus our assistance to one village and provide them with vegetable and corn seeds. We were able to provide a total of 35 farmers with support. Now they are planting again and hopefully the harvest will be good.
Again, thank you very much for your generosity.
Very sincerely yours,
Cesario
