Women in Chitral's Kalash Valley face limited income opportunities due to a lack of vocational training, IT education, and skills in handicrafts or food processing like making jams ,dry fruits and pickles. Without these essential skills, community struggle to achieve economic empowernment.
This project will solve the problem of limited economic opportunities for women in Chitral by equipping them with practical skills in handicrafts, food processing, sewing, and IT. Many women in the region face unemployment and financial dependence due to a lack of vocational training. By providing skill-based education, the center will enable them to earn a livelihood, support their families, and contribute to the local economy, fostering long-term economic empowerment and self-sufficiency.
The project will train over 200 women annually, enabling them to earn a livelihood and lift their families out of poverty. By equipping them with skills in handicrafts, food processing, sewing, and IT, it will create financial independence, improve household well-being, and contribute to the economic development of Chitral. This initiative will foster self-reliance, gender equality, and intergenerational empowerment, benefiting the wider community for years to come.
