Support 22 Kids w/ Special Needs at OSSO Orphanage

As a tradition that we have in OSSO, every year during the months of July and August, we have a special time every day, during which our children have various activities such as: camp, art and painting, gastronomy, dance therapy, educational visits to factories, visits to the community park, theater, cognitive activities, to finalize with an evaluation by the children and the entire work team.

We have been celebrating the birthdays of all the children and the staff every last Friday of each month. The kids love these kind of activities because there is music and dance.   Also, we have continued to carry out different kind of recreational activities in order to stimulate the development of their social skills. In order to fulfill them, we always count on the help of the OSSO volunteers, who are always willing to cooperate and participate with ideas, supplies, and overall, their energy and motivation.

In August, thanks to a donation from Hearts of Gold Foundation, two of our kids were able to fulfill their dreams of having the sports uniforms of their favorite teams. In addition to this, some of our kids got shoes and supplies to make crafts.

Also, through financial donations from Hearts of Gold Foundation, we have been able to buy

high-cost medicines for some of our 15 people with disabilities, mostly for epilepsy treatments.

In addition to these donations, every other week, we’ve received some food donations which have contributed to improve the nutritional area of our kids.

We hope to continue to have the support of all the generous people that are always there to make the life of our kids better and happier.
