Free Medical Camp in Saggiyan Slum Area, Lahore – A Lifeline for the Underserved
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, in collaboration with dedicated students from Sheikh Zayed Medical College and the Pehchan Organization, organized a Free Medical Camp in the Saggiyan slum area of Lahore to deliver much-needed healthcare services to the vulnerable and underserved community members.
This impactful initiative reflects Alkhidmat’s unwavering commitment to accessible healthcare for all, especially those living in neglected urban pockets. Dozens of patients, including women, children, and the elderly, were examined by qualified medical professionals, and were provided with free check-ups, medicines, and health awareness sessions.
This effort is part of Alkhidmat's broader Mobile Health Services Program, we currently operates 15 Mobile Health Units (MHUs) across Pakistan. These mobile units are actively serving in remote and marginalized areas where access to hospitals or clinics is limited, offering:
General medical checkups
Maternal and child healthcare
Free medications
Diagnostic services
Health awareness education
With such initiatives, Alkhidmat continues to strengthen its vision of "Health for All", aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-Being.
