Dear Friend,
Greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project helping families displaced by insurgency. The Philippines is one of the country where we experience one of the longest insurgency foisted by the Communist guerilla. Even if communism has already banished in most parts of the world, our problem persists largely because of the poverty in the countryside. This reporting period we used our time in order to undertake a learning tour for other practitioners doing organic agriculture. We want to learn how this is done by others so that we will be able to apply our learning with our beneficiaries. Our team travelled to Bukidnon province and was able to learn a lot including adding value to farm products by innovative labeling and brnding. Most of the products are simple but the way they are presented are indeed innovative. For example, corn is made into organic coffee, rice is made into cakes and pastries, and so on. We hope to share our learning with our beneficay groups in the coming weeks.
Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cesario
