Thank you so much for your support of this project. I’m writing to share some updates from ActionAid’s emergency responses. We appreciate you taking the time to learn about and support our work.
The climate crisis is fueling one of the worst droughts on record across the Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa, and now communities are feeling the effects of the war on Ukraine. Severe drought, chronic water shortages, and rising food and energy prices are pushing upwards of 14 million people to the brink of survival. Global food prices had already reached record highs when the war on Ukraine began, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, climate disasters, and rising energy costs.
We are working with local partners to continue to provide life-saving relief and support to build resilience to these intersecting issues. . Please consider sharing this project with your network, so we can continue to support communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis in Ethiopia.
