Dear All,
Thank you so much for the sponsorship of the Boxing Day Marathon which was the crowning fundraiser for us in 2020. We really appreciate that everyone despite the challenges last year helped and pivoted into ways that WERE possible when so much was not possible in 2020.
We were able to send presents to all the homes that requested gifts in 2020 and already started 2021 with Staff Seminars focused on the staff in homes who we deem "Essential Workers" around stress, work/life balance, and caring for children who have suffered trauma.
We did coding one week with IchiGo Jam lessons with Araki-sensei calling in from Sendai. We had the kids write penpal letters to the children in Ghana with whom we have a collaboration.
We also are adding 4 new students to online courses in Nagoya and had one of the YouMeWe Ambassadors (kids who age out of the homes) ready their laptops and ship them to them.
This year our focus in our 5-year Virtuous Spiral Plan is Connectivity and Networking. Though the kids did not have much say in how they came into this world, with Life Plans, Financial Literacy, and Career Assessments they can start to see how their lives can end up with support from your good selves.
One of our Ambassadors will start a job with Nicole BMW in April thanks to the extended network and connectivity we have been able to introduce her through.
