When students return from winter break, it’s a great way to re-set classroom expectations by making plans for the New Year. After all, the school year is more than halfway over, and the new year is a good time to revisit any goals and objectives set earlier. A New year wishing tree is set up in every class in our schools. Children write down what they hope to accomplish on the first day after the school break by writing them on wishing stars and decorating on the tree. The tree is a visual reminder of what they need to achieve.
Our children have resumed the pen pal program with Aspen High School after a break of one year. The program allows children to connect, learn and grow by offering a wide range of advantages that contribute significantly to their personal and academic development. The program has proved to be a valuable and enriching experience in the past by exposing the children to diverse cultures, traditions and perspectives, and enhancing global awareness.
Parent Teacher Meeting was held on 20 January. These meetings are a regular feature of the schools aiming to provide parents with the knowledge and skills to assist their children in learning at home and at school. Information on what the children are learning in school, suggested activities to be completed at home that support what children are learning in school is shared during these meetings. . Parents were keen to know how teachers can advise them to help their own children at home and were aware of teacher's efforts.
We are indebted to all our donors who donated generously to our Winter Warmth Appeal in November. The sweaters that we purchase for the children from these funds make a world of difference, since temperatures go down to nearly freezing point in December and January. Thank you so much for your donations in response to our appeal.
Our donors support allows us to fund the education program and initiatives aimed at improving the academic performance of our students. Your generosity has allowed us to provide them with quality education that has prepared them for academic success. We sincerely appreciate your contribution.
Thank you for being an integral part of our journey
