Welcome to our November 2022 Report!
We are continuing in our 5th year of running the SAVECats project and each year we help more and more animals in need.
We have now spayed or neutered over 5000 cats in Anne Arundel County.
Earlier this year, we submitted for a 5th year of funding from the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Spay & Neuter grant program for funding start in 2023. I am pleased to announce that we were awarded:
"MDA Grant #23-8002, requesting $69,150.00, was selected to be funded at 72.34%, or $50,022.50, based on the recommendations of the Spay and Neuter Advisory Board, and the approval of the Secretary of Agriculture. This will provide funding to spay 425 cats, and neuter 340 cats; as well as 765 rabies vaccines. This also includes $350.00 for mileage/travel.”
In the 3rd and start of the 4th quarter, from Jul 1 until Nov, we performed 238 feral cat surgeries, with 103 neuters and 135 spays in Anne Arundel County.
SAVECats continues to work for community cats and for you, the local stakeholder and caregiver. Do you want to help us save more cats in Maryland and beyond? Donate today to help us in our mission!
