Welcome to our July 2022 Report!
We are continuing in our 4th year of running the SAVECats project and each year we help more and more animals in need.
We have now spayed or neutered over 4500 cats in Anne Arundel County and expect to add 500 more surgeries by the end of the year. We submitting for a 5th year of funding from the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Spay & Neuter grant program in April 2022 for funding start in 2023. In the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2022, from Jan-Jun, we performed 490 feral cat surgeries, with 243 neuters and 247 spays in Anne Arundel County.
We also are excited to announce that we received a small grant from the Summerlee Foundation to help community cats in our sister county - Prince George's - $8000 to help 75 cats!
SAVECats continues to work for community cats and for you, the local stakeholder and caregiver. Do you want to help us save more cats in Maryland and beyond? Donate today to help us in our mission!
