A warm hello to all our amazing GlobalGiving supporters!
During those 3 months we ‘ve received an incredible number of donations. We are so grateful for Your support! It helps us make an easier life for every woman and child who needs it.
For the past 3 months we were continuing our help to women and their babies.
142 new people applied our Center and asked for help. During these 3 months period we provided 609 consultations. Most of them were psychosocial – 419, psychological – 120, doula – 28, other - 42 (obstetricians, gynecologists, psychiatrists, lawyers).
Center delivered 28 baby layettes, 18 baby strollers, 6 beds, 8078 pieces of diapers, more than 102 sets of clothes for babies and mothers and lots of hygiene items and a few women received cash needed to cover their living or medical expenses (over 5000 eur).
We were happy to receive news about 26 new babies born to the women we have been helping!
We’ve had 6 self-help groups that were organized for women facing different crisis situations related with 3 groups to women after miscarriages, 1 group to women who are painfully experiencing an abortion, 1 group to women who are facing crisis pregnancy with doulas, 1 group for mothers teenagers. Those groups are online so women from all towns in Lithuania could participate and even Lithuanians living abroad.
2-day camp for staff and volunteers
This difficult period of quarantine exhausted and lowered moods of many people. For our stuff and volunteers as well. We are very grateful to our volunteers for their help to our clients and truly believe if we want to give help for others, we must first help to ourselves. It was a great opportunity to see each other, to learn from each other during every year meeting with volunteers and our staff.
A few feedbacks
“Once I decided to move from The Netherlads to Lithuania I was completely desperate. I thought I wouldn’t be able to build a supportive environment here, once I would be moving with 8 months pregnancy.
Then I found “Krizinio nestumo centras” and everything turned out well. I had all the support I needed (and I still have!”) and met a lovely professional and friendly team always ready to help.”
“My condition was very poor a month ago I had lost my second child... I felt confused, it was hard for me to talk about my loss, I hid my feelings deep inside. When I started talking about my loss, I burst into tears, my lumps squeezing my throat, I felt really broken and I was afraid to show it to others. There were recurrent attacks of anxiety, during which it was difficult to calm down. After self – help group meetings my feelings have changed. Now I can talk about my loss with no longer crying. I am less excited, it is easier to talk about it, I think less about loss. Feels like I enjoy life more, I live here and now.”
Thank you so much for Your incredible support!
With warm regards,
Krizinio neštumo centras team
