At Hope Rising Homes, Foundation we are keeping HOPE alive in all the nine children that God has entrusted into our hands. Thank God almighty that has been helping us.
We started with ten children, however the Lord smiled on a family who adopted our first beautiful baby girl, on October 13, 20018 It was hard for us to parted with her, but knowing that she will be well taken care of by Gods grace, we have to let her go to enjoy her new family. We are very grateful to God for using Hope Rising Home, Foundation as a channel of happiness and forever joyful for some couple who couldn’t have their own biological child.
We are presently trusting God for a complete healing for two of our babies who has been in and out of the hospital due to failure to thrive secondary to longstanding malnutrition. Aisha 15 months was admitted on November 15 2018 and was discharged on December 5 2018. Jojo as we call him, 15months old has been admitted in the hospital x3, in the last 7months, minimum of 4 days each time. All this being said the Lord has been faithful. The remaining children have been good. The school age children are doing excellently well. The 6 years old that was sexually abuse by her biological father, attend cancelling section once a month and she’s stable mentally and emotionally at this time.
The Lord has blessed us with wonderful, loving, caring and dedicated staff at this time. They work tirelessly as if the children are their own biological children. I pray that the Lord will reward them abundantly.
At Hope Rising Homes, Foundation, we want all our staff to be knowledgeable about what it’s necessary to do their work effectively and efficiently. Our social worker just returned from a four days training on Child Protection System Strengthening and the Lagos state Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. The training was organized by Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development in collaboration with UNICEF.
Our challenges at this time are to solicit for more funding to care for these angels that the Lord has put in our custody. We are in need of a minivan to transport the children to school, activities, hospital, court etc. We need start to work on buying or building our own for a larger space and we can stop paying rent annually. We are currently not accepting new children who are desperately in need of a safe home like ours; our staff needs more comfortable sleeping arrangements on their down times, if they are comfortable, they will perform their duties with joy and enthusiasm.
We are thanking God for His grace and mercy. We are asking for your continuous support financially, morally and in prayers. The Lord will continue to bless the work of your hands and reward you abundantly. AMEN
