Project Report: Ramadan Food Distribution for Rohingya Refugees (2017)
Extending a Lifeline to Displaced Families in Burma
In 2017, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan carried out a vital humanitarian initiative by distributing Ramadan Food Packages to Rohingya refugee families in Cox Bazar . This effort was aimed at providing much-needed relief during the holy month of Ramadan to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
The food packages included essential items such as rice, flour, cooking oil, and other dry goods, ensuring that the 500 beneficiary families had access to nutritious meals throughout the month. This initiative not only addressed their immediate food needs but also brought a sense of comfort and dignity during a time of spiritual reflection and fasting.
This project aligned with Alkhidmat’s mission to support displaced and marginalized populations and contributed to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by fighting food insecurity in crisis-hit regions.
We remain grateful to our generous donors and supporters who made this life-changing project possible. Your continued support allows us to stand by those in need, no matter where they are, and bring hope to their lives.
