The Long Journey of small steps to solve problems!

Terra Renaissance gratefully acknowledges the support of all our friends, Supporters, and promoters for all your cooperation and contributions, making it possible for Terra Renaissance to work together with you as equal partners to empower and help young people towards Self-Reliance.

By sharing your extremely useful resources to support the Terra Renaissance’s vision, mission, and values, qualifies you all as worthy heroes and members of Terra Renaissance.

Terra Renaissance center in Gulu reopened in the second week of January 2023 after the festive season break with rejuvenated, overactive trainers and instructors who continue to play a proactive role in offering quality skill training to the registered trainees who enrolled in April 2022 in the skills of Fashion & Designing, Carpentry & Joinery, as well as Basic Literacy and Peace Education at our training center in Gulu-Northern Uganda.

Our training is an intensive training of one and a half years. The Terra Renaissance center offers two pathways of skills training: Fashions & Designing and Carpentry & Joinery, with both pathways consisting of lessons in theories and intensive practice sessions.

The youth are also provided with basic skills in reading and writing (Luo and English), numeracy, and public speaking. This is also part of this course to train effective communication and build self-confidence.

All our programs, as seen here in the images, have been initiated with the aim of equipping the young people and youth who are severely affected by the effects of the past long war in northern Uganda, which could place them at a high risk of their behaviors to cost their future to be wasted and become criminals, drug abusers, and violent persons.

Our ultimate aim is to equip them with important skills for jobs to equally enable them to achieve their individual and collective rights, including being productive citizens to fulfill their responsibilities and become self-reliant.

All that we do in empowering these groups of persons with deep psychological war syndrome rhymes with the need for war-affected persons to achieve trauma healing, relief from bad war experiences to become self-reliant in a real, sustainable economic sense for sustainable economic productivity in order to reverse the vicious cycle of poverty and violence.
