As of this writing, your donations and those of others like you have supplied two leper colonies and 20 remote rural villages with wells and water systems that provide clean water right in their own villages. This is a life changer for the residents of these villages, who in the past have had to walk miles each way to fetch water from the nearest source.
Having access to clean, safe, potable water from deep in the earth results in a significant reduction of the incidence of many dangerous diseases caused by the usage of contaminated water from open sources such as ponds or streams.
SevaChild has identified many more villages in the impoverished state of Odisha where, thanks to funds contributed by you and other generous donors, we continue to improve the infrastructure that dramatically enhances the quality of life for those benefiting from our efforts.
A 300-foot deep well that provides an entire village with plenty of water for decades to come costs just $1700; donations of any size quickly add up to cover this amount. Please give what you are able to this critical program that gives the gift of life via clean drinking water to these men, woman, and children in desperate need.
