An overview of the tragic situation in Yemen
It's been so inspiring to stand up for the work you do for GlobalGiving and the humanitarian community, Sanid Organization. It expresses its profound gratitude to all supporters in the humanitarian field who are doing their utmost to help the Yemeni community and alleviate its suffering. Amid an escalating global food insecurity crisis, hope is fading for millions who already suffer from extreme hunger. GlobalGiving was It is the hope to save him from the specter of famine that has reached him. According to the Yemeni Humanitarian Needs Overview (HNO) document for the year 2023
In Yemen, one of the poorest regions in the world, there is famine, epidemics, and diseases, not to mention the fact that it is a conflict and war, which as a result has become an arena of continuous wars and conflicts, which has led to it being deprived of the most basic services and suffering from an absolute siege, making it aggravated in the humanitarian situation, the most important of which is famine, which has led to malnutrition among children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. These children and women are considered the most vulnerable and sick. They struggle every day for their lives and need immediate, specialized, life-saving care to survive.
A child with severe acute malnutrition is 9 times more likely to die than a well-nourished child. For this reason, the ambition of the organization’s work is to continue life-saving care for children in Yemen through the year 2023 in all areas of Yemen. If the capabilities are available, this is an ambitious goal.
