The humanitarian crisis in Yemen continues, with the armed conflict continuing. Poverty rates are on the rise. More than 11.1 children are in need of emergency humanitarian assistance. The United Nations and its affiliated agencies complain about the lack of funds allocated to address the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. We, on our part, rely greatly on your generous donations. We have achieved great success at the level of interventions carried out by SORD in saving malnourished children. For example, 8-month-old Mohammed Ghaylan is one of the children who suffered from severe acute malnutrition, and who was at risk of certain death. He was registered in the SAM program of SORD, and health care and nutritional supplements which were provided for 52 days - a rather long period compared to the period received by other children- due to his deteriorating health condition before providing health care for him. In the end, we rely heavily on your donations, through which we continue to save children from death within the limits of what we can, and with the available capabilities. We must bear in mind that the humanitarian crisis in Yemen is expanding and the responsibility that we bear is growing little by little.
