As the first quarter of 2025 comes to a close, we’re proud to share some of the progress we've made alongside the communities we work with:
245 Women took part in training to better understand and stand up for their rights.
215 Women received free legal support.
235 Adolescent girls participated in our Adolescent Girls Program.
34 Community Advocates began their second year of training.
These early results reflect steady steps toward greater gender equality in rural, Indigenous communities.
We asked a few women what the most valuable thing they’ve learned through WJI is. Here’s what they shared:
"The most valuable thing I’ve learned is to value myself even more than I already did. Sometimes we feel like we’re worth less than others, but that’s not true. Even if we face discrimination, we are all human beings, and we all matter. That’s what they teach us here: the value we have as women."
“The values we have as women that we deserve to be valued equally, that our opinions matter that’s what our rights as women are about.”
