Rhadika talks quietly with an elder patient she is visiting outside her home that looks out over the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal.
Rhadika is a senior palliative care nurse with the palliative care team from nearby Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital (BCH). Their patient and her husband both have advanced cancers. And the team is following up with them at their home ensuring they have support, that they have adequate pain relief, and their symptoms are not causing distress.
Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration has a longstanding relationship with the palliative care team at BCH going back more than 15 years – supporting pain relief for patients, and training and mentoring the palliative care team.
Your support of Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration via GlobalGiving means that healthcare providers in Nepal are trained in the specialized, compassionate care that patients like this couple need.
