During the workshop on the use of dry toilets and general information on this topic, many members of the collective, as well as outsiders, showed great interest. The workshop aimed to present various options for using dry toilets and to explain what a dry toilet is. The feedback was consistently positive, and many participants can easily imagine using such a toilet.
Additionally, during the collective's monthly home visits, we demonstrated how to assemble the different components to create the mixture for the bucket. This mixture ensures that the contents remain dry and do not start to smell.
We also showed a film on the topic of water sustainability and followed it with a discussion. We talked about what we understood, what we took away from it, and how we can further develop in this area. We also considered what we still need to work on.
Last month, we also joined an organization called Observatorio Ciudadano y Comunitario del Agua y Medio Ambiente de los Valles Centrales de Oaxaca dedicated to protecting water resources and promoting sustainable water use and storage.
The next few months we have planned to work hard so that we can continue with our project. Thank you for your support so far!
