After more than 18 months of Covid related challenges the Mushroom Theatre Company has now reopened its doors and students and volunteers can see how much our donations have improved their facilities. New curtains and enhanced lighting have enhanced the experience and they now eagerly await the sound module and improved audience facilities that have been promised.
Westcliff Rotary continue to raise money through many fund raising schemes, including quizes, progressive dinners and even sponsored haircuts! Easy during lockdown but challenging when restrictions begin to be lifted! We try to support many good causes ,whose problems have multiplied during covid lockdown, but always have the Mushroom Theatre in the back of our minds as the organisation ,perhaps, really benefits those children who have really suffered over the last 18 months. The need to interact is important for everyone as is the need to feel wanted in society. This is vitally important to children who are physically disabled. They really need our help so every penny raised goes towards making these children's life more enjoyable.
They will always need help as they are run by volunteers and parents. Westcliff Rotary are, therefore ,extremely pleased to be involved in such an exciting venture.
