***English Version***

We had to suspend activities because of COVID19.

Since mid-March, due to the preventive measures declared by COVID19, we suspended the activities we carried out with children and youth in the indigenous communities of Chiapas.

However, progress was made with::

  • The formation of a group of 6 young people from the community of Jerusalem, from Ocosingo, Chiapas, who have established a bakery, which is in operation generating an economic income for themselves and their families.

The panorama of COVID19 is uncertain, however, thanks to the donations received in the project https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/mitigation-of-covid-19-in-indigenous-communities/ we were able to bring families of these young people, supplies that facilitate the prevention of contagion, such as face masks and antibacterial gel, as well as cleaning products.

Currently we are gradually taking up activities, trying to comply with the recommended prevention measures, encouraging communities where we have an incidence to do the same.

We thank all those who have supported us with their donations, we also want to invite you to visit our other projects at https://www.globalgiving.org/donate/61768/xilotl-asociacion-para-el-desarrollo-social-ac/ .

Thank you for being part of this journey!
