We are happy to have completed 2023 successfully. Our students performed excellently in the Junior Secondary External Examination in 2023. They scored mostly As and Bs. Our indefatigable teachers have done it again. Kudos to our teachers who in spite of the economic hardship Nigerians are facing right now are still able to perform their duties creditably. We hope that things will improve and that we can secure funding to pay them the salary they deserve rather than the barely life sustainable salary they are receiving presently. Our students are indigent and as such can hardly afford to be pay to be in school. However, our teachers are dedicated, as such they give their best in the face of low salary.
Fron November 2023 to February 2024, we have continued to give academic and life skills to our participants.
We started school January 8, 2024. So far, we have had one major project. Our grade five students were taught mat weaving, using carbon sheets. This particular project brings out the creativity in each child. It is like a puzzle. It boost their intellect in the process of interweaving the carbon stripes correctly. Emotionally, it fills their heart with joy when they realize that they weaved it right till the end. It brings joy and boost their problem solving skills. They will leap for joy when their parents and teacher sees their art work and appreciate their creativity.
