Our most thrilling news is that one of our Safe haven (boot camp) girls just graduated from a Nigerian major University. She studied Health and Physical Science.

We are also happy to report that we had a successful symposium on January 6, 2023. It was well attended. I attended the United Nations' Transforming Education Summit in September 2022; therefore, we decided that we should take the message home to the centre and address the issue of the education the youths are being given in the 21st century. The Symposium theme was Poverty, Insecurity, Inequity: The Triangle of Impediments to Transforming Educationin Nigeria in This Digital Era. We had greatb speakers--an Expert Educationist, a Professor of International Law, En Expert in the Education of People Living with Disabilities, a Communication Expert, and a student activist. In the audience were such dignitaries a Royalty, area university professors and members of the Ministry of Education. (See photos attached.)

The Inwelle International Academy of Excellence we started for the very indigent community where we are located has continued to grow in strength and in the quality of education we provide. Since our last report, we have intensified our efforts to provide quality education to the Inwelle Academy students. In all, we now have 14 teachers and 57 students as against 10 teachers and 50 students we had by the end of 2022.

We have received 3 youth corps members from the National Youth Service Corps, two of whom teach primary 2 and 3 classes and one that teaches Basic Science. We have employed    3 teachers in ---agric science, biology, mathematics, a primary 4 teacher.

We are still begging for public spirited individuals to assist us with funds to continue to pay teachers’ salary.

We are have an approved panel at the UN NGO CSW. (See photos attached)
