Have you ever thought about the price of an ice cream cone? Probably not really... If you want one - even want one every day of the week - every month -- or even 2 big scoops, you can usually swing the $1 that it may cost. Well, for that $1 a day, you could also change a child's life and future! $1 a day will pay for education, books, uniforms, food, medical and dental care, and even glasses or emergency care if necessary for a child on the Live and Learn in Kenya International NGO sponsorship program!
It doesn't seem like a whole lot of money for someone who has it, but it sure means a whole lot of support for a child who has no possibility to a brighter future without support from strangers.
So, maybe being that "stranger" will not only change a child's life - it may change yours a bit too, knowing that you are making a difference and leaving your mark. The great thing about this is, that you wouldn't only be helping one child with that one dollar a day - you are changing the future because the one child will have children in the future who will also benefit - and so on and so on passing it forward for many generations to come because fact is - once you have an education, there's no taking it away!
