Samukonda lives in Chideza Village in Chief Chinunda's Chiefdom. Samukonda is a widow and taking care of 6 children. She lived in a 2 roomed thetched house off thr grid and every day she used to use grass to light her small hut.
With the help from Kukula Solar's project, Samukonda managed to get 2 solar lanterns to light up her home. Today she is happy because not only does he have a bright light but also her children are able to study when the sunsets.
Together with you our donors through the globalgiving platform, we are enabling people like Samukonda to have an opportunity of a cleaner, healthy and more enviromentally friendly source of lighting for their homes.
