Nucleo is founded on a simple idea. We believe any child, from any background, should have the opportunity to learn music. Nucleo works with children and young people from all backgrounds, many of whom would have no ongoing music education without our free programme. By widening access to learning, our charity aims to benefit young people as individuals and ensures that diverse communities are given access to a high-quality ensemble-based musical education.
Now in our 10th year, approximately 400 children take part in our free programme, with teaching offered on 14 different types of instrument. So, whether their passion is for strings, wind, brass or percussion, there is something for everyone.
Your generosity has enabled each one of these 400 young musicians to be provided with a free, good-quality instrument which they use both at our programme and for at-home practice. You have also provided the means to maintain the condition of these instruments throughout the year. The cost of instruments and instrument repairs can be a barrier to access for many. By supporting this campaign you have helped to break down this barrier, ensuring that our young musicians don’t miss out on an opportunity to discover a passion, uncover a talent and forge new friendships.
We thank you for your support.
