Dear supporters,
I was in Haiti on July 07, 2021 when the country learned in the early morning hours of that Wednesday that the President of the country was assassinated. This was shocking to many people inside and outside the country. Personally, having taken 10 trips to Haiti since 2018, I can attest to the growing insecurity, hunger and instability. Haiti is a complicated place with many challenges. Yet, I’m not deterred; I believe and know the country can improve because it used to be better in many ways.
The children and their future keep me going. We must continue the work to provide for the children and to create opportunities for the people of Haiti.
