Thank you for your kind and generous donations to Sahar’s Teacher Training Center (TTC) in Afghanistan! Your contribution helps fill a critical gap of female teachers in the Afghan educational system by training young women to be teachers. Thank you.
Due to cultural, religious, and security reasons, many families do not allow their daughters to continue their education after middle school. Importantly, girls are often held back from high school in Afghanistan as most teachers positions are held by men. This concerns families with daughters the most. TTC program helped to fix this issue by building a center under agreement with Ministry of Education of Balkh province, to train female teacher for the community’s female only schools.
This year the success of female training teachers continues as more and more high school graduates come to TTC with a dream to become the best teachers in Dawlat-abad village. This is all because of the influential and meaningful impact TCC and the graduates of the program have on the village schools. The program is currently under an agreement with the Ministry of Education, and has the potential of becoming a program of Ministry of Education. This means our computer programs that train future teachers skills in digital literacy will continue to prepare the best teachers for community schools.
This legacy of educating young women to be teachers, thus increasing the educational opportunities for young girls, began and continues with your generous support. Thank you for being with us!
Regards,
