Spring greetings from All Hands and Hearts,
Earlier this year, I shared a brief update with you regarding the incredible work our teams completed in the Philippines on two schools in the municipality of Amulung. We hoped at the time that conditions surrounding COVID-19 would improve enough for us to start a new program this spring; however, I am sad to say we have had to adjust those plans knowing it is unclear if/when we will be able to return and support further typhoon recovery efforts.
I now want to take the opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to you for your past support of the program and share more information about the impact that you helped make possible. Between January 2020 and March 2020, 258 volunteers from 16 nations came to support two disaster-resilient schools in the Philippines. During this time, they completed the following tasks at each school:
Dadda Elementary
Agani Elementary
Between Agani Elementary and Dadda Elementary, more than 1,060 students will directly benefit from these safe schools over the next ten years. Not only do the new campuses provide fun and productive learning environments, but crucially, they are schools resilient against future natural disasters.
From the entire All Hands and Hearts team, thank you!
