Project Report: Food Distribution in Flood-Affected Chiniot, Central Punjab
Restoring Hope and Providing Relief in the Aftermath of Floods
In the wake of the severe floods that hit Central Punjab in August 2024, Alkhidmat Foundation swiftly responded to support the affected communities in Chiniot. These floods caused widespread damage, displacing families and disrupting their access to basic necessities.
To alleviate their hardships, Alkhidmat Foundation distributed comprehensive food packages containing essential items such as rice, flour, pulses, sugar, and cooking oil. This initiative ensured that hundreds of flood-affected families had access to nutritious meals during a critical period of recovery.
Our efforts in Chiniot align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 1 (No Poverty), by addressing immediate food insecurity and supporting vulnerable populations in disaster-hit areas.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors and partners, including GlobalGiving, for their invaluable support. Your contributions enable us to act quickly and efficiently, bringing hope and relief to those in need. Together, we are making a significant impact in rebuilding lives and communities.
