Help Educate 150+ vulnerable children in Serbia

Dear friends, dear donators,

It is my great pleasure to present you our, first, project report and to inform you where we have been, where we are now, thanks to all of your support, and also where are we heading.

Our journey on GlobalGiving started on June 11^th as we entered GlobalGiving Accelerator program. First goal, a first stop on that journey, was to become full GlobalGiving partner. In order to achieve that goal, we needed to raise 5.000 USD from at least 40 unique donors. I am very proud to say that with your generous help we were successful and achieved it on June 29^th when Accelerator ended.

We have worked very hard and with your invaluable support we raised 5.131 USD in those 18 days. But as we strongly believed in our idea, and our confidence was additionally boosted by your tremendous support, we accomplished even more.

First of all, on a special Accelerator Bonus day, which was held on June 20^th, among 666 competing projects from around the world we won Bonus Prize of 500 USD, for having the most Recurring donors (that agreed to support us monthly) on that day. We had two times stronger numbers than our competitor that won second place. This is the first time that organization from Serbia has won Bonus Prize on GlobalGiving.

Second, despite harsh competition from Pakistan, Mexico, US, India and other highly populated countries and thanks to all of you and our strong commitment to succeed, we won one more Bonus prizeof 1.000 USD. Again we won for having the most Recurring donors, but this time for the complete June Accelerator.

I would, once more, like to point out that all of you should be proud on what we accomplished together. June Accelerator 2018, as officially announced by GG stuff, was biggest and most competitive Accelerator they have ever had: 666 organizations from around the world participated, 7.563 donors were involved in donating to their projects and 806.000 USD was raised, all in those 18 days.

Our commitment and hard work was also noticed by Global Giving and ASK was awarded us Superstar organization status and recognized as:

• Effective Nonprofit – for our “efforts to learn, improve and grow our impact”
• Top Ranked organization – for our demonstration of “high level of engagement with Global Giving community and a commitment to effectiveness via GG Rewards”

After only couple of months on Global Giving ASK is ranked on 850^th place of 4.645 organizations around the world.

What we did so far

Funds we have raised for project so far were used to:

• Fully finish renovation of premises on 5^th floor

o   Bigger classroom fully renovated and 90% furnished (school tables, chairs, whiteboard, projector, TV) but still missing some shelves, pictures, posters etc.

o   Second classroom fully renovated but missing furniture and accessories

o   Entrance part renovated and 90% furnished but still missing some closet, drawers, shelves and accessories

o   Toilet fully renovated but missing toilet accessories (shelve, soap and towel holders, lights, some small closet …)

• Start renovation pf premises on 2^nd floor

o   One more classroom and / or office should be finished in next 10 days but will need furnishing

o   Hallway mostly renovated

o   Storage room created and finished (except for lighting)

What will we do?

Dear friends thanks to your support we accomplished so much. But we are not done yet. ASK team is full of positive energy and more than ready to achieve even more. We set up new goals, having previous experience and what we all did so far, we are confident we will achieve all of them

Our plans for next 3 months are:

• Start education (languages or art school to be determined yet) with one or two groups of children from children shelter by the end of September
• Completely finish bigger classroom on 5^th floor and furnish smaller one
• Accessorize premises on 5^th floor with books, pictures, colors to make even better ambient for children
• Furnish and accessorize toilet on 5^th floor
• Finish renovation on 2^nd floor
