The COVID-19 pandemic is a crisis that has affected everyone as industries, transportation networks and schools and businesses have closed down. All of this sudden change has had some unexpected consequences. Pollution and greenhouse gas emissions have fallen across continents as countries implemented measures to contain the spread of the virus.
AIL has been teaching adults how to organize cleanups in their communities. Often adults talk about the environment and they have the right to give their opinion. In fact they are encouraged to go to school, municipality or even the government to update people about climate changes and present better ways of saving the environment.
Many children are not aware of the environment, its challenges and why it is important for them to take responsibility. We give online-training to children at our schools and learning centers to tell them about the issues of the environment. For example, children learn to turn off lights, fans etc when they are out of the room, not to waste water when brushing teeth.
